Sad Dissatisfaction, or Retrace

It's easy to say goodbye.

It's what comes after that which is harder, I think.

Hmm...

I really don't like boring people with my life, but I think MAYBE I shall today, we'll just see how this rant goes.

WARNING. If you can't be bothered to listen to a boring life, (maybe) stop NOW.

I haven't been able to access the internet for like a week plus, so sorry everyone. Not that anyone would really look forward to reading my posts anyway.

/I failed my Chemistry.
/Kossen messed up our History project by stage fright.
/Kai Shin, my roomate, 's face got smashed in by a metal pole, so we didn't go out like we planned.
/I got scolded 'cos my phone made noise during prep.
/Planetshakers came to my school, but I wasn't there, I was attending a choir at NUS.
/Watching Japanese Dramas (It's my Japanese speaking Singaporean/Shanghainese roomate, Ze Wei).
/I finally got my Sg number, plus new phone.
/Finished World Ends With You, unlocking Secret Reports.
/Playing Need For Speed: Most Wanted. Never thought I would get into racing games, but ramming police cars are so much fun(when are you EVER gonna be able to do that in real life?).
/Eating my misery away, with my best friend, the Pop Tart (I have like a box each of Raspberry, Cherry, Blueberry and Chocolate Fudge).

I need to come home. I need to.

How long more?
18 days, Nigel.

One of the dramas I'm watching now is about this guy who gets to retrace his steps because of some midget male fairy (it's typical Japanese) who sends him back into photo albums to change what past he had to change the end picture of the album or something like that.

I wish I could do that. But then, I wouldn't know what to change. I would stumble and probably do the same thing over again. How do I know that what I would change would change for the better instead of the worse?

Then again, time travel is way to confusing and consequential for me (and really, all of us) to comprehend. It just doesn't really make sense, does it?

I need to write. Maybe I'll start writing once more. Maybe I should. Give me something to do. Let me write. Let me let it out. Let all of it

Go.

What It Comes To, or Live Your Life

My school has this period called 'PC' where usually a guest speaker comes to speak to us and educates us in some way. This time, however, our class teachers came in (presumably because they couldn't find anyone to 'educate' us). They tried to get us to set our goals, to prioritize and prepare for the future and crap.

So before any of us could leave, Mr Jeffery Tan made us name what we wanted to make ourselves in the future, or something like that. So answers kept coming, such as businessman, toilet cleaner, Millionaire, Billionaire, the world's first Trillionaire, PE teacher (that's Mr Jeffery Tan's post), normal person (Kossen, who else would say that), architect, engineer and all sorts of occupations. Then it finally came to me.

Now notice, that all that was mentioned was occupations and jobs. Nobody actually said what they WANTED, just what they wanted TO BE. When it was my turn I simply said

"I want to get married."

And of course, everyone laughed (we were all laughing for no reason at everyone's answers anyway). But that's what I want to make of myself. If all everyone wants is to get a job, there wouldn't be anybody left on earth. But I shouldn't be surprised, I was in a Singaporean school and class, where everyone aims for ambition and career. But that's what I want. I want to be happy. Of course I will get a job, but I don't see my future as a 'job'. I see it simply as 'future'.

So yeah. I'm just waiting. And waiting. Maybe I'll get a job to pass the time.

"Marriage has many pains, but celibacy has no pleasures".

Happy Valentines Day, Ri.

I'm going to have to get a job for you ><

The World Ends With You, or If Everyone Cared

So I'm still playing this game (mum, I'm not playing it all the time) (the rest, yes I am :) ) called The World Ends With You, this awesome game on the NDS. It incorporates an awesome soundtrack with live vocals, awesome split-screen-multi-tasking-with-both-the-stylus-and-the-buttons gameplay and awesome storyline.

You play as Neku, an anti-social guy who has huge headphones plugged into his head wherever he goes and whatever he does (my hero :) ). He plays the Reaper's Game, and I won't dwell into that.

What really interests me is what the name of this game comes from. Neku's friend tells him that The World Ends With You: The world is as big as you allow it to be. If you keep yourself in your own tiny world, not caring about anything or anyone, then that's your world. With only you in it. But by sharing emotions, feelings, opinions and thoughts with others, your world expands; Your insights broaden, new things become discovered, and the world becomes a friendlier place. Neku used to hate the world, and keeps his headphones plugged in to ensure he isn't disturb. As the game progresses, though, he is able to read the minds of others, and through this he feels what they feel, sees things from a different perspective, etc.

So in the end(which I haven't reached yet) he learns to care. Aww.

So it makes me think. We're all too busy aren't we? We're all to busy to care. We try to justify our insensitivity. But we know, even if others believe it, that we are wrong not to care. The World Ends With You. So broaden your mind. Learn to think as other's think.

And your world might just become a little bit bigger.

P.S. TIS GAME IS SUPAH OHSUM. PLAY TIS GAME N U WIL B SUPRISED. UBER AWSUM.

The Run Around Singapore, or Lost Highway

WARNING. Life update. If you're the kind of person who can't be bothered to listen about a boring life, then stop NOW.

Today was new boarders orientation. Basically what we did was play with oranges, run around, ride in buses, play with peanuts, run around in MRT stations, play twister, run around some more, ate Indian Food and played with more oranges.

The whole thing probably made me fitter than any other activity I've ever had around a city, more so than Wild Goose Chase (seriously). Surprised Singaporeans were surprised to see i think 18 groups of boys running around with backpacks, iPods and hand towels. We pushed and we pulled, we rushed and we strived, we did everything we did to get ahead of the other teams.

This also made me observe many of the habits of Singaporeans. They love to rush for things. They just can't wait. Before the bus stops, they tap their EZlink card to the machine to save, what, 2 seconds of time? And at the last stop on the North-East Line, where everyone gets off, they start standing in front of the doors already, even before the train stops. And when you line up to get in the bus, it clearly states "make way for those going out first you useless kiasus" or something like that, but they insist on entering first. Don't they get that whether you get in first or last, it's always going to wait for the last person to get on?

As we boarded a train, some guy was late, so he got left behind. We could see him swearing and jumping and raving (no kidding). It's just seven minutes lah (ok, maybe that's a bit long).

Hmm. By all the rushing and running around we did, WE may be turning into Singaporeans as well. God forbid. Give me oranges to play with any day.

I Don't Like Running Around Without Any Reason, or Highway To Hell

It's just really retarded.
Friday night, me, Kai Shin (roommate) and Zewei (roommate) went out for dinner, then after that we planned on getting our EZ-Link cards, which can be used to pay for things like transportation and such. Since we're students we can subsidized fares or something like that.
So we took a bus to Dover station to try and get one, but the thing closes at 6. It was 8 -.- So we ended up taking another bus back home.

Saturday afternoon, after Charity Bazaar, where we sold all the stuff we bought during our OEP, me and Kai Shin tried AGAIN. We took another bus to Dover, and they told us to go to Jurong East. Ok, fine whatever. Took an MRT to Jurong East, and then took alot of trouble finding the place to register for a student EZ-Link. Once we found it, the unfriendly lady told us, very unfriendly-like, that we needed a letter from the school office. There was no time to go back and get it, so we just wandered around town for the rest of the day.

It's Sunday, and the school office ain't oppening till tomorrow.

*sigh That's just no fun.

Happy 6th.
